Haiti is the poorest country in our hemisphere. Less than a two hour flight from Miami, they are nearly in our backyard. Help break the cycle of poverty by investing in the life of a child. $30 a month sends a child to school, feeds them, and helps empower their family. Dashka gave me a gift on the last night of my visit in April 2009
I sponsor Dashka Domond. I met her in June 2008, where this quiet and lovely 5 year old wanted nothing more than to sit on my lap. Three visits later, Dashka knows my name, has brought me to meet her mom and see her home, is well nourished and excelling in school. Watching her grow, seeing her participate at church, knowing she is being fed and educated, and the realization of how different her life would be without the benefit of sponsorship has been one of the most humbling experiences of my life.
